Research is essentially uncovering or identifying new knowledge for the benefit of organizations, institutions, nations and the society at large, with the help of scientific and systematic methods. Through research many pertinent problems can be solved.  A researcher or potential researcher is always in search of new knowledge, is analytical and organized, confident, practical, patient and comfortable with loads of data and sorting out relevant information from them and has high level of proficiency in written and verbal communication. Higher level research is subject specific, doctoral research is generally concept focused. For conducting research a good knowledge of research and statistical methods and tools is a prerequisite.
